Tuesday evening we arrived at Los Arcos where it is placed the new circuit of Navarra. It is the first time that this circuit is part of the CEV calendar because it was inaugurated a few months ago so it is new for all the riders.
Quickly we started to work in the RCM2 because the team objective was to do as many laps as we can. Due to the circuit opened its doors recently we did not have information to start to work, so was very important to get all the data possible to obtain a good set-up for the next week race.
We decided to go to on track early because it seemed that was going to rain and we wanted to obtain as many data as we can. The rider turned some laps to learn the new track and accommodate the suspensions according to the circuit conditions. The rest of the day, Rodrigo rode in a good pace decreasing his times lap after lap while he was testing different set-ups for the bike.
“I liked the circuit of Navarra so much. There are some very fast corners but also others very slow that do that track more like the circuits where I used to race in Chile. After being all day riding I was watching with Oscar and the other members of the team the different parts of the circuit and now I already know where I can ride faster for the next week race.” (Rodrigo Concha)
“We leave Navarra very happy due to Rodrigo has already improved a lot and he had reduced the times with the top riders. One of the good things of the morning was to obtain a big amount of information that we can use as reference for the next week. We already know at what points of the bike we should work to get it ready for the race. Now we just have to work hard and continue in this line of work to continue improving.” (Oscar Recouso)
